Borrowing with a Vanquis Loan
Is a Vanquis Loan suitable for me?
A Vanquis Loan is suitable for managing a budget where fixed payments give you more certainty around controlling your financial commitments.
How does a Vanquis Loan work?
We send to your bank account £1,000 and we charge interest each month on the amount outstanding. You make regular repayments by Direct Debit over 12 months to repay the £1,000 loan and the interest on that loan. You are free to spend the £1,000 as you wish.
How long do I have to keep paying for the Vanquis Loan?

How much will the Vanquis Loan cost me?
In addition to repaying £1,000, we will charge you up to £193.87 in interest over a twelve month period. This means in total you will repay up to £1,193.87.
How can I apply?
This product is only available to a limited number of applicants. Please go to www.vanquis.co.uk\loans to see if the offer is still available and complete the application form.
Will I be charged for applying for a Vanquis Loan?
We do not charge a fee for applying for the Vanquis Loan.
What if I change my mind about the Vanquis Loan after I have applied for it?
You will have 14 days, from receipt of the welcome pack we send to you, to cancel the Vanquis Loan. Further details on how to do this are in your terms and conditions for the Vanquis Loan.
Can I apply for a Vanquis Credit Card whilst I am paying for my Vanquis Loan?
No. You will not be eligible to apply for a Vanquis Credit Card until you have completed the repayment on your Vanquis loan.
How long will it take to get a decision on the Vanquis Loan?
You will have a limited time to apply for the Vanquis Loan. We will tell you whether your application has been successful, within 10 days of you applying for the Vanquis Loan.
When will you pay my loan into my bank account?
Within 5 days of validating your Direct Debit instruction, we will send the loan to your bank account.
Why do I need a bank account to receive my loan?
To help you manage your budget and to prevent you incurring additional administration costs we require that you have a Direct Debit set up and a bank account to receive the funds.
Paying your bills
How does the Vanquis Loan help me build my credit rating?
We share your repayment history with credit reference agencies. If you keep up repayments on your Vanquis loan, other lenders will be able to see your repayment history and that you are demonstrating that you are managing your credit responsibly.
How do I make a payment to my Vanquis Loan account?
We will collect your payment by Direct Debit from your bank account.
What happens if I’m having trouble paying my loan?

How long will it take me to pay off my debt?
How often do I have to make a payment and how will I know how much to pay?
You will have to make a payment each month. We will send you a notice of the amount and date of the payment to be collected by Direct Debit.
What do I do if I want to pay off my loan early?

How much will it be if I want to pay off my loan early?
We will tell you when you contact us how much you will need to repay.
Do I need any special software to use the site?
No, you should be able to view everything on our site without any problems.
Is the information I give you on this site secure?
Yes, we collect and store your data securely. You should see a small padlock along the bottom of your screen on the application page which shows that the page is secure.
What should I do if I have a complaint?
