East England residents to gain budgeting advice
A new money management scheme has been launched in eastern regions of the country, offering people advice about issues such as budgeting.

With financial support being provided by the East of England Development Agency, a number of people who are not currently in a job will be able to access guidance through the initiative which has been organised by Citizens Advice.

Dubbed the East of England Financial Capability and Inclusion Project, the strategy will also aim to help people to find new work over the coming months.

Citizens Advice project manager Liz Stannard believes that the scheme should have a big impact.

She said: "Being able to manage your money with confidence and organise a budget are vital skills, particularly when facing financial insecurity."

Meanwhile, those with credit card debt may also be able to make use of the National Debtline service, whose importance was recently highlighted by housing minister John Healey.
