The financial situations facing a number of UK graduates may be quite difficult at the moment, it is suggested, which may interest people who are hoping to repair a
bad credit history.
According to Tanya de Grunwald, founder of the information resource
GraduateFog.co.uk, a tricky employment market and record levels of debt may both be having an impact on young people.
Rather than always getting the jobs they want, she stated: "What we're seeing is many graduates moving home to live with their parents and taking bar work or temp work in their local town."
Along with their financial and employment struggles, people who have just left university might also find that they need to undertake unpaid work experience to try and follow a decent career path, she continued.
The financial consequences of the government's planned tuition fee rise may already be affecting the attitudes of some students, with 24 per cent of 16 to 17-year-olds included in the ING Direct Consumer Savings Monitor now having to review their options.
