Switching to a different bank account could prove useful to people who are looking to experience a better financial service, according to one expert.
James Daley of Which? has noted that it is actually quite straightforward for consumers to change to a new provider, despite the commonly held view that it could be tricky.
Mr Daley, money editor at the consumer organisation, commented: "It's much simpler than most people realise.
"Banks are required to have a switching department these days - they help the process go through as smoothly as possible and, in the majority of cases, it does."
The expert went on to say that he hopes to see banks continue to improve their relations with consumers in the near future.
Meanwhile, banking customers hoping to manage credit card debt by improving their savings may be interested to note new figures published by Birmingham Midshires.
The firm has suggested that a number of people appear to have saved more and withdrawn less money in recent times.
