Homeowners 'should shop around for energy bills this summer'
When looking at their household budgets, consumers might want to take advantage of the warmer summer months by shopping around for better energy deals, one organisation has suggested.

According to the switching service Which? Switch, homeowners could reduce their outgoings by taking the time to assess their energy tariffs when the weather is more clement.

The organisation's Alison Morrison believes that people should not forget about their energy bills just because the weather is better at present.

She stated: "Your energy bill is probably the last thing on your mind when you're out and about enjoying the warm weather, but checking that you're on the best tariff now could save you hundreds."

When it comes to people's finances, Which? also recently suggested that debtors should consider gaining advice from free sources of information, rather than entering into costly debt management plans, which might help those with bad credit histories.
