In order to have a holiday this year, a large number of British consumers are willing to get into
credit card debt, new figures have suggested.
The Daily Mail reported that as many as 35 per cent of those queried in a recent
Lonely Planet survey would think about getting into debt if it meant they could go away to an overseas destination.
However, according to the news provider, 61 per cent of the survey's respondents also stated that they would look to make use of their existing savings if they were short of holiday cash, instead of racking up large debts.
Meanwhile, research published by SimonSeeks.com has also highlighted the attitudes that some UK consumers have when it comes to the issue of holiday spending.
The travel website revealed that large travel discounts are being sought by 70 per cent of those responding to a recent survey.
