Credit card users 'should be wary of fraud'
People using credit cards this Christmas have been warned to be aware of the dangers of financial fraud.

Recent figures published by CPP show that as many as 20 per cent of those consumers polled in a recent survey claim that they do not look out for fraud by comparing their bank statements with shopping receipts.

The organisation's card fraud expert Sarah Blaney believes that this should be an area of focus for those looking to use cards over the festive holiday.

She said: "Check all of your receipts against your bank statements, so you can make sure that there are no fraudulent transactions that have occurred that you are not aware of."

Ms Blaney went on to suggest that those looking to get credit and use cards should carry them in their wallets or purses when out shopping, to cut down on their chances of being affected by theft.
