Many people fear getting into
credit card debt, but
bad credit credit cards are safe if they are used responsibly, a money website has suggested.
According to financialadvice.co.uk, if people use
credit cards to pay for goods and services and then pay off the outstanding balance at the end of each month, the cards have very few dangers.
"Used the correct way, a
credit card can be a useful payment method and indeed many
credit cards will give you bonus points the more money you spend," the website explained.
However, it went on to say that people who use their
credit cards as additional sources of finance on a longer-term basis are the ones who tend to struggle and fall into debt.
Recent statistics from the
Bank of England showed that the amount of money provided to people through
credit card lending went up by £0.1 billion in May.
