Spring 'an ideal time' for consumers to assess finances

It might be a good idea for people to assess the deals they are currently getting on their financial products as spring draws nearer, according to one expert.

Moneysupermarket.com's site editor Clare Francis believes that consumers might make money savings by taking the time to review their present financial position.

She commented: "There are some really easy savings to be made, just by spending half an hour reviewing where you're at financially."

Ms Francis went on to say that it is important for the country's residents to keep a close eye on the rates of financial products.

People who have cultivated a positive credit record by carefully managing credit card debt in the past might be able to take advantage of various attractive card offers at the moment, moneysupermarket.com suggests.

Last month, the site noted that the finances of UK savers might be negatively impacted by the large rate of inflation that currently exists.
