A number of the country's
credit card users are concerned about their current level of debt, it has been revealed.
As many as 32 per cent of the UK's residents may have
credit card debt fears at the present time, according to figures published by
Datamonitor.
In particular, the firm's financial services analyst Roderick Logan feels that those who make regular use of their cards might have debt concerns.
He stated: "Consumers may use their
credit card every day and so be more aware of their debt levels on the card, as opposed to a loan where the money has already been taken out."
Meanwhile, Datamonitor suggested that the country's consumer credit market could see gross lending rise to £25.8 billion next year.
Rather than overspending, consumers need to keep their finances in check in the current economic environment, Credit Action director Chris Tapp recently noted.
