Credit card shoppers 'offered purchase protection relief'
Customers that paid with either a zero or high interest credit card at a recently closed wedding shop may be the only consumers entitled to get their money back.

Shoppers that made purchases at the Crystal Bridal Centres shop in Nuneaton were shocked at its sudden closure, reports the BBC.

A spokesperson for Consumer Direct told the corporation that those that made a purchase of more than £100 with their credit card will be protected by their credit card company.

However, she conceded that there is little hope of recovering losses for those that paid with either a cheque or cash.

Recent research commissioned by the Department of Business indicated that one in three Brits believe that their consumer rights have been ignored.

One in four consumers (28 per cent) also admitted that they are more likely to complain about purchased goods during the economic downturn.
