Credit card users 'should inform their banks about holidays'
Before credit card owners head abroad for a foreign holiday this year, they might want to take the time to inform their bank of their trip, it has been suggested.

According to an article produced by Credit Choices for the Market Oracle, those aiming to get credit cards and use them when away from the UK could run into difficulties if they do not communicate with their bank.

The source warned: "Using your credit card abroad can appear as unusual (suspicious) activity to your bank, who may assume the card has been stolen or cloned and cancel it without your knowledge."

In the same article, the source also encouraged consumers to think about comparing various credit card products if they want to adopt one while on holiday.

Meanwhile, credit card users have also been encouraged by TripAdvisor to ensure that their products are kept secure while out and about in overseas destinations.
