Improving a Poor Credit Rating

One in three young people set to face unemployment

Young adults face unemployment worries.
Hundreds of graduates could be left without a job this year, after reports suggested that around one in three young people are set to join the dole queues.

This could potentially devastate many graduates and school leavers seeking to get credit or improve their credit score.

A report by the TUC said that there are 366,000 young people who have been unemployed for more than six months.

Dan Hawes from the Graduate Recruitment Bureau said that recovery from the recession will be slow and that competition for jobs will be particularly stiff for young people who graduate from university this year.

He said that graduates from the class of 2010 will be "up against graduates from 2009, so we'll see how competitive it is".

According to recent figures from the Office for National Statistics, the employment rate for people of working age has dropped by 1.8 per cent over the past year.ADNFCR-2660-ID-19408019-ADNFCR
