Credit cards 'remain popular among UK consumers'
A number of UK consumers are still keen to make use of credit cards, according to new research.

Such products are being used by 14 million consumers to meet the costs of their daily outgoings, figures published by price comparison website moneysupermarket.com have revealed.

Meanwhile, the site also suggests that 17 per cent of those who are able to get credit cards are opting to use them on a daily basis.

The website's credit cards expert Peter Harrison believes that many consumers continue to have a reliance on their cards.

However, he added: "It's alarming to see that so many people are using credit to pay for day to day expenses as this can be a dangerous habit to get into."

Meanwhile, moneysupermarket.com has also recently encouraged people who are heading on holidays overseas in the near future to consider the variety of card options that are available to them.
