Many students 'looking to improve savings knowledge'
Saving is an area that many students would like to focus more on, research suggests, with this topic a greater priority than things like credit cards.

Figures published by the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) have revealed that 28 per cent of those queried in a recent survey would welcome the chance to gain further information about saving cash.

The organisation encouraged students to say whether they would like to get credit card information or details concerning the likes of savings and loans.

NSAFS's chief executive officer Sylvia Perrins believes that the results offer some encouragement.

She commented: "Young people are much more switched on to their money issues than people think and want to know more about how to fund themselves through their education."

Meanwhile, people who regularly make use of store cards are being provided with the opportunity to access advice from a guide published by the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, R3.
