Consumers 'looking to energy savings' to cut expenditure
Faced with the rising cost of living, many Brits may be looking at areas where they can reduce their outgoings.

This could make it easier to stick to a budget plan keep on top of bill repayments, which can help build a credit rating.

Some might be looking at ways in which their utility costs can be reduced in order to help with this goal.

Indeed, a recent study from Shelter found families are taking this action in order to ease the pressure on their finances.

New research from uSwitch.com found providers are responding to this and fixed price plans now account for many of the best available deals - when this option is typically associated with premiums.

Some firms have even curtailed their exit fees in order to allow customers to switch to an alternative provider if a cheaper option can be found, but it was noted fixed price plans will not protect the individual from potential increases in the future.
