Households 'worried about unexpected costs'
Among the issues faced by British families over the next six months, many could be concerned about facing unexpected expenses.

New research from Aviva indicated this applies to 41 per cent of UK households and 39 per cent fear it might be a problem in years to come, which could lead to people struggling to stay on top of their finances.

One potential method of reducing this risk is to draw up a budget plan and stick to it closely, as this can make adhering to bill repayments a simpler task and build credit.

The rising cost of living was also found to be a worry for many, as 61 per cent of respondents claimed they may struggle to make ends meet over the next five years.

Indeed, Unison noted inflation remains a factor for families, despite the drop recently recorded, calling on the government to take measures to ease the financial burden on people.
