People might have to deal with costly bills if they do not take care when using their phones abroad, one organisation has suggested.
Those looking to budget their travel finances may want to take note of the guidance offered by
uSwitch.com, with the website noting that consumers could benefit from contacting their network operator in order to discuss overseas charges.
Meanwhile, the organisation is advising holidaymakers to consider disabling the roaming option on their phones before they leave the UK.
The site's communications expert Matthew Wheeler has highlighted the large bills that travellers may face if they fail to think about the potential costs of overseas mobile use.
He commented: "Post-holiday mobile bills are the holiday souvenir from hell.
"But if you do your homework before you travel, there's no reason why you can't make the most of your mobile abroad."
When it comes to people's finances, uSwitch.com has also recently revealed that a number of people have had to get
credit cards in previous months in order to address the gap between their earnings and their outgoings.
