When it comes to money management, a number of people are failing to seek financial guidance from professional advisers, new figures have revealed.
According to statistics published by
Unbiased.co.uk, consumers are more inclined to gain advice about car repairs or even their hair than they are about their finances.
However, those who do seek advice about their personal finances could find that it proves to be very valuable, Unbiased.co.uk chief executive Karen Barrett believes.
She commented: "Seeking independent financial advice on your finances - whether it may be mortgages, retirement or savings and investments - is an invaluable step in making sure you are getting the right advice."
Ms Barrett also suggested that people may currently be shying away from important areas where they might need to be pointed in the right direction.
A number of UK consumers looked to get credit last year, Unbiased.co.uk figures suggested in April, with the site noting that the nation's non-mortgage debt hit £28.2 billion in 2009.
