Ethical finance 'interesting a number of Britons'
Before opting for financial products, a number of Britons are now looking to take ethical considerations into account, new research suggests.

Survey results published by EIRIS reveal that as many as 44 per cent of those people polled would like to see what ethical commitments are offered by financial products.

People looking to get credit cards and other products may be keen to note the view of the EIRIS communications and development manager Mark Robertson, who believes that the public's appetite for ethical financial products appears to be on the rise.

However, he added: "Levels of awareness, trust and confidence in ethical finance are low. The industry must respond with greater transparency."

The research undertaken by Ipsos MORI also shows that many Britons believe that providers of financial services should concern themselves with topics including fair trade.

UKSIF recently launched National Ethical Investment Week to raise awareness of green investments.ADNFCR-2660-ID-19468664-ADNFCR
