Consumers in Nottingham struggling with debt management or considering a bad debt credit card can take advantage of some expert advice this week.
Debt Doctors Foundation is running an event today (September 28th) in the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre, Nottingham in association with Experian to mark the launch of a new advice shop.
The opening will also mark the launch of the charity's new learning resource, the Moneyopoly board game, which aims to educate children about making financial decisions and help them budget.
More than 100 people are expected at the event, taking place at 14:00 BST, which is supported by local Blue Bell Hill Primary School, Notts County and Nottingham Forest FC.
The shop will also run a series of money management and financial capability workshops, which has already attracted significant interest from schools for Key Stage 1 and 2 children.
Parents were recently found to be the biggest determining factor in children's spending habits, according to a new study by the University of Arizona.
The attitude of mum and dad towards money was found to be more of an influence than both financial education and work experience combined.
