Students 'can make money quickly and easily'

There are many ways that cash-strapped students can make extra cash, moneymagpie.com has claimed, which could interest those who have managed to get themselves a bad credit rating.

Jasmine Birtles, founder of the consumer website, suggested that university-goers could utilise the time they spend on the internet to their advantage.

"There are ways that students can make money even from their computer … even if it's just [doing] online surveys," she said.

Ms Birtles went on to say that those living in London or other areas where movies are filmed could spend their spare time being paid for being an extra.

Her comments follow the publication of research by the Consumer Financial Education Body, which found that over two-thirds of parents whose offspring are going to university are concerned about providing for them financially.

Moreover, a third of all parents said that they are very or extremely concerned about this matter.
