Credit card users encouraged to shop around

Credit card users might want to look around for the best available products to suit their needs over the coming 12 months, Which? believes.

The organisation, which aims to ensure that UK consumers get good deals, has noted the potential financial benefits that people looking to get credit may enjoy if they are willing to check how competitive the APR they are receiving is.

People might also be able to improve the ways in which they bank by considering changing the provider of their current account, Which? claims.

"Check what you're paying for goods and services, and shop around for the best deals," Martyn Hocking of Which? has advised consumers.

The firm's editor added: "Don't settle for mediocre service either."

Meanwhile, with 2010 approaching, the Homeowners Advice Centre's co-owner Chris Jenkins has recently noted that the coming weeks may see a number of credit card users seek debt advice following Christmas over-spending.
