The coalition government has still not fully addressed how it is going to tackle the country's fuel poverty problems, an expert believes.
Ministers are being encouraged by
Consumer Focus chief executive Mike O'Connor to outline clear plans that deal with this issue.
He commented: "We
want to see clear proposals to tackle the UK's huge fuel poverty levels, which are not currently identified."
Meanwhile, the expert suggested that proposals to improve competition within the energy market need to be put into action quickly in order to offer more financial help to homeowners.
At present, Mr O'Connor noted that his organisation is "concerned that the energy market is not working properly in consumers' interests".
His remarks follow the release of the coalition government's agreement, which was recently published by the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats.
