Ask for a credit card Payment Freeze
If you’ve been impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19) and are worried about making payments on your Vanquis credit card, you can request a Payment Freeze for up to 3 months. You don’t need to make any payments and we’ll make sure the payment freeze isn’t treated as a missed payment by credit reference agencies.
Please note that taking a Payment Freeze is only suitable if you have short-term, temporary financial difficulty. Please be aware that interest will continue to be charged for the duration of the freeze. This means that your total balance will increase, and your minimum repayments will be higher at the end of the freeze period. Where you are able to make payments, either in full or partially, and where this is affordable, then you should consider this before proceeding.
Who can request a Payment Freeze?
You can submit a request if:
- You hold a Vanquis credit card
- You’ve been directly or indirectly impacted by coronavirus
- Your ability to make your minimum monthly credit card repayment has been temporarily affected, or you’re expecting it to be – for example, you’ve lost your job or you’re having to work fewer hours, and
- You are no more than one payment in arrears. If you are in arrears, this must have been an impact of coronavirus.
If the above circumstances do not apply to you, or you’re in longer-term financial difficulty, you should contact us to see what options we have available to support you. We have a range of solutions available to support customers with longer-term difficulties.
