Take a look at our different payment methods to find the right one for you. If you can afford to pay more than the minimum payment amount, the quicker your balance reduces, and the less interest you pay. Set up a Direct Debit
A Direct Debit takes the money to pay your credit card directly from your bank account. This can be your full balance, minimum payment or another amount that you choose.
You can set up a Direct Debit in the Vanquis Bank App or by calling us.
Using your debit card
You can make a one-time payment using your debit card, or set up automatic payments with a recurring debit card payment known as a 'Continuous Payment Authority' (CPA).
To set up CPA or make a one-time payment, use the Vanquis App or call us on 0330 099 3000**.
Use the Payit™ service
A fast and secure way to make payments to your credit card using the Vanquis App. You'll get an instant update to your available credit.
How to make a payment
The easiest way to make a payment is either through the Vanquis Bank App or via our Online Banking service. Follow the steps below to find out how to make payments.
Vanquis Bank App
1. Download and register, or open the Vanquis Bank App
2. Go to the 'Payments" tab and choose 'Make a payment'.
3. Follow the instructions to complete your payment.
If you use a debit card for your payment, your balance will update within 2 working days.

Vanquis Online Banking
1. Log in to Online Banking.
2. Click "Payments" or "Make a Payment" on the account summary page.
3. Your balance will update within 2 working days
Other ways to pay your credit card
By phone
Pay with our 24/7 automated phone line on 0330 099 3000** available 24 hours a day.
With your bank's telephone or online banking
Make one-off payments or set up a standing order through your bank’s online or telephone banking.
You’ll need these details:
- Our sort code: 60-95-94
- Our bank account number: 0000 0001
- A reference, please use your Vanquis 16-digit card number (no spaces or dashes)
When you send a bank transfer to your Vanquis credit card, most banks offer a Fast Payments service that Vanquis usually receives within 2 hours. After that, Vanquis uses the reference number you provided to allocate your payment to your credit card.
It takes about 2 working days for your payment to show up on your account. However, it will be backdated to the date you sent it to us.
Pay by cash, cheque or postal order
In person
Use your pre-printed giro (at the bottom of your monthly statement) to pay in-person at your bank or local Post Office. If you are paying by cheque or postal order, make it payable to ‘Vanquis Bank’, followed by your 16-digit Vanquis Visa credit card number. On the back, write your name and the same Vanquis card number.
It will take about 5 working days for your payment to reach your account.
Just to make you aware, some banks or Post Offices charge a handling fee. These payments can take up to 20 working days to clear.
By post
If you’d like to post a cheque or postal order, send it with your pre-printed giro (at the bottom of your monthly statement) in one of our pre-paid envelopes.
Make cheques payable to ‘Vanquis Bank’, followed by your 16-digit Vanquis Visa credit card number. On the back, write your name and the same Vanquis card number. The cheque address is Vanquis Finance PO Box 399, Chatham, ME4 4WQ.
You should allow 7 working days for your payment to reach your account. Cash and post-dated cheques will not be accepted.
